Many people living with Kidney Cancer donโt know the key kidney tests they should be doing regularly. Smoking, alcohol, obesity, high blood pressure, and chronic kidney disease are major risk factors, yet many are preventable.
In LMIC, kidney cancer often goes undetected until late stages due to lack of awareness and limited access to care. Social stress, if ignored, can lower survival rates among patients; yet most patients never receive mental health support.

World Kidney Cancer Day is an annual event in June led by the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) to raise awareness and reduce the global burden of Kidney Cancer. This yearโs theme, โ๐๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ค๐ช๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ ๐๐ค๐ซ๐โ reminds us that maintaining good kidney health is not just medical, but mental, emotional, and lifesaving.
