Datametrics conducted an endline evaluation of emergency WASH, Healthcare, and Gender Based Violence projects in Kodunga, Jere, MMC, and Mafa LGAs in Borno state. The evaluation elicited information from 190 caregivers, 24 community stakeholders, and 40 members of Women friendly spaces, from 10 project communities.

Public water facilities are available in each of the communities assessed. Most of the households (40%) identified Boreholes as their source of drinking water and 65% agreed that they have sufficient water for daily needs, while, 44.7% use water-purifying chemicals to treat drinking water. 94.7% of households observed stored their drinking water in a covered container. Seven out of the 10 communities have public toilets. Overall, 79% of all respondents correctly identified at least three critical times to wash hands. 40% of respondents reported episodes of diarrhea in children in the two weeks preceding the evaluation. The evaluation has established the impact of the intervention in project communities.
