FHI360 Alive and Thrive Implementation Research (Baseline, Midline, and Endline evaluation) on Infant and Young Child Feeding in Lagos and Kaduna States. The Kaduna study was a quasi-experimental pre-post study designed to measure changes in minimum dietary diversity and to assess the feasibility and acceptability of an intervention to engage fathers in their child’s dietary diversity. The project led to increased child consumption of fish and egg, minimum meal frequency, fathers’ and mothers’ knowledge of the timing of the introduction of different foods, the percentage of infants who were exclusively breastfed at 6 weeks, and the odds of continued exclusive breastfeeding at 24 weeks. Five research publications have been developed from this study.
